Ok Ramblers

Almost time to get rambling...
Here's what is going to happen...
1) If you'd like to start using the new site...start. Right now it's at
http://new.natural-order-guild.com
You'll have to create a brand new user and start fresh. So don't be shy about posting, or bringing over old posts you love.
2) Sometime tommorow I'll make the dns switch and this site will be accessible via
http://old.natural-order-guild.com
When that happens I'll put a link on the new site. When the switch happens the new site will be accessible via the main domain of just
http://natural-order-guild.com
---
Most of it is pretty similar to this one, same basic structure, some new features, and the like that I'll point out in time. Also a new design. I hope people like it. It should be faster than this one.
I'm going to keep working on it and styling it, so the appearance may change a bit here and there, but in the meantime if you want to amke some suggestions or give feedback please do so on the new site once you've created your account there.
Once the swtich is official I'll be locking down all posting on this site, so it'll be in archive mode only, accessible but you won't have to check two sites.

My Company has a New Website

By the way in case anyone wants to know how this guild website gets supported....
My company OrcaPack just launched a new website at http://orcapack.com/
(The killer whale in the logo is the work of our very own Kassia who can now add to her resume.)
I started the company with a former co-worker in 2002 and we've undergone a number of changes in what we've done, and how we've done it over the years trying to find our place in the world. This is our latest facelift, as we're moving away from consulting and towards selling specific web products for specific targeted industries, starting with three main areas (daycares/preschools, membership clubs/organizations, and fitness clubs/Athletic clubs/gyms) that we've done alot of work in over the past number of years.
If you or someone you know is in one of these industries I'd certainly appreciate you passing along the link to them, as we've basically dumped a number of older work in order to focus on this, so these products need to be a sucess, or I'm gonna have to close shop and find a new job in the fall. We're basically betting the farm on these products, and I think they can be a success, but that might require some help from our friends and family to spread the word.
Anyway, just thought I'd share. It's a big step for our company, and one that I'm proud of.

This Week in World of Warcraft - Tuesday March 30th

Last week was a pretty damn good one. Progress all around. We cleared the lower citadel in 25 man, had one of our Thursday ICC 10 mans 1 shot the lower citadel and take down Festergut again. Knocked out Knock Knock KNock on Wood again for the Algalon unlock (and made some damn fine attempts on Mimiron taking him well into phase 4)
What'll happen this week?
IF THE RAID WEEKLY IS ULDUAR DO IT AS A 25 MAN IF YOU WANT TO RAID THE ULDUAR 10 HARDMODES ON MONDAY

Defiance GDKP 25TOC: Trip Report

Tonight I saw Bobboru advertising for a GDKP run in trade, so I decided to give it a shot. For those of you unfamiliar with the system, every drop is bid on in gold. The winner pays the lootmaster, who gives them the item. At the end of the raid, the pot is split among all the players currently in the raid. (So you only get paid if you stick around.) They had an automatic bidding addon that largely automated the system and kept things moving.
Composition: As you can expect, we didn't get completely awesome players. There were a couple that got dropped after the Beasts for being completely useless, and a few people bailed along the way when they either didn't get something they wanted or didn't get the system. So it was definitely slower than a guild run, taking about 2.5 hours to clear the instance.
The fights: Defiance does know what they're doing, and kept the fights moving well. I believe there was only one wipe, during Faction Champions (and that one can go all over the place).
The loot: The system worked like this. Epics and patterns started at 300g, Trophies at 500g, with both increasing in 100g increments. Orbs started at 25, and due to a bug were kind of handled manually. Ten seconds to bid, each bid resetting the clock to 10 seconds.

oh look I got my Authenticator and this is a really really bad pic lol
